How do you have the energy?

Time, time, wherefore art thou time? The question we all ask when it comes to working on our personal goals, business and spending time with our loved ones.

But we know wishing and hoping for more time is futile, as you can’t increase the hours in the day!

But you can increase your energy levels. Which will see you function better and be more productive with the time you do have.

Managing and improving the quality of your time is paramount! As time is the most valuable commodity we have!

You cannot generate more of it (well, only through healthy living).

And how you spend it has a direct correlation on your happiness. Are you a master of your time? Or are you a slave to it?

Are you spending it in accorardance with what you want to achieve in life? Are the actions you take fall in line with reaching your true potential? Do you have the energy to do those things?

The people that are performing at their best. Those who are at the top of their game have an plenty of energy.

Having this energy allows them to perform at their best for longer and be more creative. They consistently execute.

They create this energy through fuelling themselves properly, training efficiently and resting appropriately.

Throw in drive and passion for their profession and they are unstoppable.

So I ask you; do you have the energy that you need to reach your true potential?

How to improve your energy, confidence & performance.

When we look past the superficial of aesthetics or leanness – is when when we get to the root of our desires.

Going beyond the norms of what society tells us we want, to find our true reason to improve our health and wellbeing.

Which is why want energy, confidence and better performance.

And this is coming from someone who has competed in Body Building.

I’ve attained much more enjoyment from pursuits that have been performance based i.e. Marathons, Power lifting. And I’m even more excited about upcoming open water swim and Mountaineering pursuits.

In terms of physical fitness and performance I’ve never been better than I am now.

And this will only improve because of the compounding effect of the day to day actions that are part of my routine.

I emphasise MY routine because not one size fits all. It has to be bespoke for you!

What you can commit to with exercise, nutrition, sleep and stress management is unique to you.

And you have to optimise those pillars to see you be at your best, to be on top of your game!

And hear me when I say it’s got to be bespoke because when we try and conform to something that is so far removed from our lives it won’t last!

That’s because the regimes and protocols out their are cookie cut on someone else’s plan. And to adapt and adhere to it you have to be at your best or nigh on perfect!

For success a plan needs to work even when you aren’t at your best. What you can be consistent with on your worst days.

Factoring in a margin of error!

Because we don’t rise to our goals we fall to our habits.

Which is what my coaching program The Performance Project is all about.

Devising a plan for you to help you build habits that will see make progress even when life gets hectic.

A plan that works in the face of high pressure and adversity. Taking into consideration all the obstacles that life is sure to throw at us.

Paired with accountability and support to see you break through plateaus and perform at your best.

Fear of failure

Have you ever avoided something because you are scared of failing?
Of course you have. This fear of failure is something we pick up in adolescence or adulthood. It protects our ego.

Think about it, what do we tell our kid’s when they come to us and tell us that something doesn’t work? We tell them to try again and when they come back and say it still doesn’t work. We say ‘try again’. Is that what we do as adults?? Nope! If we try again, we make sure nobody knows about it we don’t want anyone to know that we failed, right?

How long do you give your average baby to learn how to walk, before you shut them off and stop them from trying anymore? 🙂 They get up and keep failing until they walk! That is the magic formula. That is why you are able to walk. You persevered until! Thousands of attempts and thousands of ‘failures’ to see you walking. You tried until!

Unfortunately over time people are deterred from taking action and persevering because of fear. Fear of failure!

What I would suggest to you is that you change your perception around failure. To discipline your thinking in a new way, new thought process. What I mean is I want you to think that;

‘there are no failures, there are only results/outcomes!

Ask yourself do I always get my goal? But do you always get an outcome? Maybe not the one you intended, but it is a result. So the truth is you never fail you always succeed in producing a result, now it may not be the one you intended but that’s ok.You can make a subtle change and produce a new result.

People that succeed are the ones that do not believe in failure. There is no failure only outcomes/results. This guides them to continually take the action that eventually produces the kind of results that most people only hope to produce.

The thing is you probably don’t feel good about failing, but you feel good about learning. So the way you are going to succeed from this moment forward is you are going to realise that there are no failures. Because you learn from every experience. You succeed by learning from every human experience.

You will learn far more from these failures than you do successes. And as long as you learn from the experience then you can change your approach to produce the result that you want!

Now what I’m going to put to you is, how about you remove all the time spent trying and failing? How about you expedite the result with a proven method that will see you transform your body and mind. Improving your energy and productivity. A method that will see you looking good and feeling great!

Progress not perfection

Good moaning Friend,

I hope you know that it’s common for willpower to fail at times. You may suddenly give into junk food and overindulge because of hunger or temptation.

Or you may skip a workout because you had a shit day at work or an argument with your spouse and you are not in the mood. Or maybe you binge-watched a Netflix show and didn’t go?

These things happen. You must forgive yourself and get back to it. So many people make the cardinal error of aiming for perfection and when they slip up, they feel like they’ve failed, and the entire goal has gone to waste.

They then decide to just let themselves go, carry on with the bad habits, and give up on their goal. It is the equivalent of getting a flat tyre then slashing the other 3! All because they slipped up once and think it’s ‘game over’. It’s not!

Acknowledge your mistake and analyze why you slipped up. Maybe you need to remove all fun foods from your kitchen, so you don’t binge. Or maybe you should work out first thing in the morning, so you don’t skip your training sessions.

Once you figure out a way to rectify future mistakes, you’ll increase your compliance and prevent future slip-ups. It is easier when conditions are right.

Aim for over 85% compliance with your routine and habits.

No matter how disciplined you are, you will make a mistake and give in to temptation here and there. If your compliance is 85% and above, you’ll definitely be on track to achieving your goals. Perfection is unattainable. Progression is what you are focusing on!

If you’ve lost 0.5 kg this week that’s progress! If you’ve done more exercise or you’re stronger than last week, that’s progress! If you’ve got more sleep or controlled your temper in a situation that would typically see you erupt. That’s progress! And that my friend is all you need to concern yourself with.

If you want to make progress with your health and fitness. To look better, feel better, have more energy, and increase your productivity. Then the Limitless Lifestyle Blueprint is for you.

You make the decision

Good moaning Friend,

Answer me this, and be honest with yourself. Is the best version of you is being kept at bay by your habits? Is your lifestyle doing you a disservice? Are you longing for a change?

Are you stuck in a rut? On a negative trajectory with your health and fitness, always feeling lethargic? Stuck in the monotony of life doing the same thing over and over, not progressing. Getting fatter, unhealthier, and dreading your next medical?

Do you see other guys in great shape seemingly effortlessly? Watching them engage in public displays of affection with their other halves.

Well?

I know, it’s a real papercut! But fret not! All this can be remedied.

I know what you’re thinking, those guys are not me, they live a different life. They have the time, I don’t.

What if I told you that the guys I work with were of exactly the same mindset. They didn’t believe it was possible. But to quote Nelson Mandela…

‘It always seems impossible until it’s done.’

These guys were no different to you. They knew they needed to change. They could feel their energy draining, their vitality slipping away.

Their problem was that they didn’t have a plan (like Alice in Wonderland asking the cat for directions, but not knowing where she was going).

That was until they took action. They made the decision to change. They committed to getting the most out of life before shuffling off this mortal coil. They took control and realized what I’m about to tell you now. Your health, your performance, your work-life balance…

…starts with you!

It starts with you implementing self-discipline, managing your time. Saying no to the irrelevant and distractions. Blocking out family time, gym time, time for yourself, as you would a work meeting.

‘Ok Andrew I hear you, but where do I start with all this?’ You ask.

Well, to give you a plan going forward I have upgraded my free guide.
